Hello World! I’m Annalisa. I created Destination Wonderful to bridge the gap between the new neophyte traveller and the full time sold-all-my-belongings-and-live-out-of-a-backpack travelers. I don’t travel full time. I have a full time salaried job in an office (plus a side bartending gig), an apartment, and I don’t even currently own a backpacking backpack. I’m currently based in Denver, CO USA, but I’ve been fortunate enough to live, study, and work in Japan, Bosnia, Morocco and Tunisia throughout the years and hop around to few more countries in between. Over the years, friends have come to me with their their travel worries and queries so I created this website to share my knowledge and passion for going out into the world. I love planning and especially love planning trips, and I know this passion is not shared by everyone who wants to travel. It’s easy to be intimidated by backpacking around world blogs and travel hacking websites, to be sent sticker shock from high priced tours, or reluctant to dip your toes into the travel pool again after a bad experience. It’s my hope that my travel guides and travel secrets will help you arrive at your Destination Wonderful!
